Navigate the Global Buying Hub

Begin buying from eBay sellers around the globe by customizing your preferences on the eBay Global Buying Hub.

Select your country or region. By selecting your country or region, you will only be shown items available to be shipped to you.

Set your language preference. By setting your language preference, text on eBay pages will be displayed in your language of choice. Please note, however, that text within listings will appear as sellers entered it and may be different from your language.

Create an eBay Account

You will need an eBay User ID to buy items on eBay; the same User ID can be used to buy on any eBay site. To create a free eBay User ID:

• Click register.
• Fill in your contact information. When specifying your Country or Region, choose "See all countries" from the drop-down menu, choose your location from the list, and click the "Change Country or Region" button.
• Agree to the Privacy Policy and User Agreement.
• Submit your information.
• eBay will send you an email to complete your registration. Follow the link in the email and activate your account as instructed.

Search for Items

Once you have an eBay account, you can bid on auction-style listings or buy items at a fixed price on eBay. Like many Web sites, eBay gives you several ways to find items. The most popular way to start a search on the Global Buying Hub is to search with keywords.

Type keyword search terms for an item you want to find into the Search box (keywords are not case-sensitive). eBay will search listing titles for matching words. To expand your search and get more results, check the "Search title and description" box next to the search box.

Keyword Search Tips

When using keyword search terms, be as specific as possible and try to use words sellers are likely to use for the items you seek.

• Start your search. When choosing keywords to search, know that the majority of listings are in English, so try to use English terms or popular brand names as your keywords as much as possible. Also include popular alternative spellings and search for an item in both its plural and singular forms.
• Narrow results. Specify a date, color, brand, artist, designer, or item type to narrow down search results. Try several different keyword options and combinations, but use just two or three words at a time so that you get a variety of results.
• Exclude common characters. Do not use the words "and," "or," or "the." eBay's search engine searches on them just like any other word. Only use punctuation if you expect it to be in the item title or description. Generally, eBay ignores punctuation and treats characters such as , . / and ! as spaces. However, certain characters can help you find what you want. For example, by placing a minus sign in front of a word, you can exclude that word from your search. By entering keywords in parentheses separated by commas, you can find listings containing one or more of those keywords. Click here for additional search commands.

Once you see a list of search results, you can use Search Options, located on the left side of the page, to further narrow your search by minimum and maximum price, items listed with PayPal, Buy It Now items, and more.
